Attorneys may either:
1. get admitted to have full access; 2. apply for Pro Hac Vice status to have full access; or 3. apply for a Limited Access E-filing Account.
Requirements for an Attorney Full Access Electronic Filing Account:
Admission to Practice: (Attorney Full Access to e-file)
Attorney must be admitted to the District Court for the Western District of New York. Click here to go to the W.D.N.Y. District Court website.
Attorney must be admitted to the Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of New York. Click here for Admission to Practice form(pdf). The form must be mailed to the Court via U.S. Mail. There is no fee. The Court will mail your Certificate of Admission via U.S. Mail after receipt of the completed application. You may proceed to step 3 and 4 before receiving your Certificate of Admission.
Training Requirement: Via U.S. Mail, submit the Request for Waiver of Training Requirement form(pdf) - - OR - - Complete the training modules listed below with an asterisk *.

** Each training module has a Certificate of Completion, which must be mailed to the Court via U.S. Mail. The completed Request for Waiver of Training form must be mailed to the Court via U.S. Mail.

Pro Hac Vice: (Attorney Full Access to e-file)
Register for an e‐filing account. Click here to register. When asked for your Bar ID, enter: PHV
Send an email to: email@example.com. The email should state that you intend to be admitted to practice pro hac vice; and should contain the case number.
After receiving your e‐filing credentials, e‐file an Ex Parte Motion and Proposed Order to Appear Pro Hac Vice. NOTE: the Court DOES NOT have a form template for the motion/order to Appear Pro Hac Vice. There is no fee.
Requirements for a Limited Access Electronic Filing Account:
|1.||Online Training and the Training Waiver form are NOT required.|
|2.||You must be an Attorney, Creditor or a Creditor's Authorized Agent.|
|3.||Debtors and individual creditors attempting to file on their own behalf MUST file in paper. A Limited Access login will NOT be issued to unrepresented individuals.|
|4.||Limited Access e-filing is limited to documents such as: Proof of Claim, Reaffirmation Agreement, Creditor Request for Notice. *Email Notifications ARE NOT available.|
